Our Introductions

Built Africa, a walk-in multipurpose center

Built Africa is a Skills Development Centre (SDC) which offers free-of-charge skills programs that enable unemployed youth and women between the ages of 18 to 35 years old who are from disadvantaged communities. We offer skills programs which are Layered & Co-ordinated into Advice, Information, and referral, soft skills, Business skills (End-User Computer training); Technical Skills which are (Forklift; Learners License; Data Capturing; Security training (Grade E, D, C and Security Grade B, A), and Psychosocial support. Social Mobilization is done in the form of (the SASA! Model which is an educative and prevention program of HIV and GBV) including Differentiated Services that comprise of (Covid-19 screening, TB and STI screening, Voluntary Male Medical Circumcision (VMMC), HIV counselling and testing and Linkage to care and ultimately job placement.

Our well-designed vocational and soft skills programs are designed to capacitate beneficiaries to become functional in the stream of work that they have been trained on. Our exit strategy consists of assisting them to either get employed or start their own companies for equality and poverty alleviation.

We target unemployed youth and women between the ages of 18 and 35 years old with information, appropriate education and skills level training for sustainable human development which is in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)

Since the inception in 2016 and became a registered entity in 2017, Built Africa has shared information, advice and referred a lot of young people within Derdepoort, Lindo Park, Ekklesia, Jan Niemand Park, East Lynne, Eersterust, Mamelodi and surrounding areas of Pretoria.
